- Detroit Iron Information Systems provides factory service, parts, and electrical
manuals on CD-Rom for 1972 and older GM and 1979 and older Chrysler, Ford,
and Jeep cars and trucks. We provide a scanned copy of the original factory
manuals in an easy to use CD-Rom format. From the CD you can print the section
you need, use it and file it for future reference. Detroit Iron is authorized
and licensed by Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, and Jeep to reproduce these
manuals in CD-Rom format.
- The most comprehensive coverage in the industry. Our CD's provide a
detailed copyrighted index system that makes this the easiest software to use.
- We use a point and click windows based system where you select your book,
then select a main category such as steering. Once you have selected your main
category, a view window will appear asking you, for example, if you want power
or standard steering. You click on your selection, say power steering, and you
will be taken to the section of that book that applies to power steering. Of
course print the page or the section, your choice.
- All our CD's contain the factory service or shop manual and any applicable
supplement. The factory service/shop manual is essential. It includes coverage
on all mechanical and electrical systems. This is where you find your
specifications, wiring diagrams, diagnostic procedures, troubleshooting,
installation and removal, and covers all systems.

1. Service Data
Contains all your factory shop information as previously described. Most CD's
contain multiple books and are conveniently indexed.
2. In the Beginning
On most CD's this section contains the original sales literature on the car or
truck that was available at the dealership. Also, on most CD's, information is
available as to how many or a particular model were sold, what options were
available, and how much the car originally sold for.
3. Blast from the past
This is a fun section of trivia in News, Entertainment, or Sports that was
current at the time the car was new.
- Detroit Iron offers technical assistance during normal business hours.
